I think if our defense does not do a good job closing the cut back lanes and containing a running Qb along with Demps & Rainey, they are going to give us fits. Hopefully Chavis is running tackling drills all week, because this is one game we need to tackle and tackle WELL With the way Bama was pushing the UF d-line around, I hope that our guys will do a lot of the same. I think that Florida brings it, and we struggle offensively. LSU has a more difficult time winning than Bama did, but LSU wins in a our closest game yet. 20-17 PS. I am fully prepared to eat crow for those of that will get satisfaction out of it.
I am feeling less confident daily, hints of a perfect storm blowing up against us...distractions, looking ahead, big head, and desperate opponent. This is the week when Coach Miles earns his money. I hope (and I think he is) up to it!
I sincerely hope that this isn't a problem. If so, they'd be looking ahead an entire month, and overlooking a very brutal cluster of SEC games. That would reveal a very serious character flaw with this team, one that I honestly don't think exists. I think that maybe you're projecting all the recent TF obsession with the tide onto the team. We've got an entire month of very capable opponents to discuss and dissect before we can even start to think about the tide. If the team is looking past a talented, well-coached, and desperate gator team, then we're in deep doo-doo.
I think the team is fine and CLM has them focused on one game at a time. The media and fans are more apt to be looking ahead, especially with all the comparisons between us and Alabama. :geauxtige
Agreed......I think that's going to be the key to stopping florida......if we stop the speed sweeps and screens to rainey and demps.....then florida has no shot......if we allow those two to break free somewhere we will be in for a tuff one.
