I have great respect for the Gators and the talent they bring to any game. A team like the Gators and this staff will not be nice guys after Bama handed them a wooping in front of the home folk like what happen in the Swamp last Sat night. LSU has to be ready to play a injuried Gator that will play lites out. Many of these guys are top college players and they will bring more to the game than any SEC team we have played to this point. I don't expect to beat the Gators like Bama I just want to beat the Gators. Many will try to gauge how LSU/Bama compare after watching LSU play the Gators but it never works like that. LSU-Bama is all about Nov 5th and will have nothing to do with how we look against the Gators. I assure you that the Gators with no QB are coming into Tiger Land with fire and the desire to show they are a football team! They expect to beat the Tigers !!!! Remember last year when the gayturds put in a small, fast qb to run the wildcat. He made some great runs. I expect to see more of that. I don't think the gayturds will try and put the game on the arm of a freshman. I see lots of zone read options and them trying to get outside on our limited linebacker group. As long as we keep them from turning the corner and play assignment football they won't get much.
Yep they got a week to figure what they think will work the best. We will see a form of the the Wild Cat and lots of 3 step drop dinks and donks.
You can bet that many teams will follow wvu's gameplan as a way to put yards on the tigers and hope that their running game can score in the redzone where wvu's couldn't.
Gators will work the screens, short routes and try to work the run a bit. They will make a few plays but LSU defense is too talented and well coached. They will adjust. LSU 24 UF 10
Florida gained 15 yds on the ground against Bama, and gave up 226. Need I say anything here? Driskel was 7/16 for 73 yds, 0 TDs 2 INTs. Rattle him early and take away their passing game. I believe our defense is better than Bama's and I think we will shut down Florida's offense. However, we have got to be careful of their big play makers or we may end up with another WVU scenario. Florida's D was stout............until they ran into Bama so I have trouble guaging how good their D actually is. Everyone (including Vegas) thinks this is going to be stomping, but I know this is going to be one really scrappy game. This game is a must win for Florida, and anytime you play a team whose back is against the wall it is dangerous. I look for them to rely heavily on the dink passes and screens.
