Under 4 minutes to go, 3 point lead, no timeouts for the Bucs, second down near midfield. What do you do? Try a trick play to pick up a first down and fumble the ball away. I sure hope LSU makes it into the title game, because I feel like I just got kicked in the groin.

Look, sad as it may be, they are the only pro football team the state of Louisiana will EVER have, so I will be backing them until they are no longer in New Orleans. I don't bail on my team when it's bad.

I'd rather cheer for the Saints than anyone else.

That one play will ultimately cost the Saints a playoff spot.

The sad thing is, they are STILL only a game out of a playoff spot. Thing is, this team just doesn't have a win streak in them I fear.

You'd think that lesson was learned last year against the Eagles in the playoffs. They did the same think last year except the got away with it and still won.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that. Don't they remember the same thing happening 11 months ago? As horrid as the defense is, when they got the safety, I'm thinking that one play would carry them to the W. But then THAT boneheaded call. I put this L squarely on the shoulders of Peyton.

Well it was a sorry call, but the funny thing about it that after the fumble and my ensuing cussing, I said to my Bucs friend "The Saints should really leave those plays to the pros, don't they know LSU is the only team in LA that can pull that off!"

We laughed but then I started thinking...I was right...how sad! Oh well I'll be watching next week and maybe we will see something different.

Didn't Keiland lose like 25 yards against Tennessee trying something like that? :hihi:

But yeah... The Saints are only good for one-year wonders. They get our hopes up one year, and dash 'em the next. Peyton looked like a genius last year and a complete idiot this year, but having the coaches the Saints have had (Mora, Dikta, Haslett, Peyton), I don't know if it will get any better.

Nevertheless, I'll still pull for 'em. :rolleye33:
