I was going to post more videos but my computer took a dump and I lost the video of the second quarter. I can still post the other three though. They actually ran a lot of 3 wide sets. The execution just sucked. I'll post what I have when I can. Just checked, in the first quarter they ran 17 plays, 9 of those were with 3 receivers and a tight end. Several of the plays were near the goal line on the third drive. This is not a Les Miles offense.
Did we just sit on the ball in the second half? That would be almost as disappointing as looking like crap. Second half seemed very much like Miles.
Personally I don't have anything against ugly wins. I say "the more the merrier." I would be delighted with 16 of them.
Second half was 16 plays, yes only 16. 10 of those were from 3 or more with 1 play having 4 wideouts and no TE. But they ran a lot on first and second down. Again, the execution sucked. Which is why it looked like a Miles offense. LOL
People don't realize how many times we TRIED to throw. You are correct this is not a Miles offense. Add to the fact that we haven't seen all of E's offense because we haven't needed to. We have never been behind in both games we played no need to show more. Plus Jeaux is still learning. I believe if we have to we will throw it 60 times if that's what it takes.
Couldn't have been said any better. There is another team on the other side of the ball that has football players that wants to win as much as we do you know. Tell the Penn State players that the Appalachian State players weren't any good and didn't want to win as much as they did last weekend.
The other key thing he said was about the mindset after the 1st quarter... They were flat and he sensed it before the game... That happens against inferior opponents, especially after a big win and knowing that your next game is your conference opener at Auburn... They don't call them trap games for nothing... That being said, slide Joe or your DNA will be all over the field. ..
