We've been hearing the "vanilla" argument for a decade now. How long will it be before people stop believing it? There is no way any coach comes out in the first game against a ranked team and plays "vanilla." It's not gonna happen. This is the offense. We have to execute it better. We have to block better and Joe needs to get the ball out of his hands quicker. And the receivers need to...you know...receive the ball...like catch it. If you weren't disturbed by what you saw on Saturday, all I have to say is you must have ignored the warning signs every other season in the last 5 or 6. If you can't protect against SLU, Auburn is gonna be an issue. The entire SEC is gonna be an issue. I'm not saying you lose every game, but you are gonna have problems against every other team and against the upper echelon, like this weekend, you probably are gonna lose....
I checked the Vegas line & AU is favored -10. I think they will cover. Two things scare me about this game. Our OLs first big test against a strong SEC opponent. This is our QB's first big test against a strong SEC opponent on the road. Not a good combination.
Going to be a tough week. The environment will be the toughest we see all season and their front 7 is really good. I hope we dont get into many 3rd and longs, but odds are we will. Maybe they will decide to fumble it a lot or give us a special teams score... crazier things have happend in this series.
We should trade Shreveport to Texas for the Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange triangle. There are a lot more Cajuns there than there are in Shreveport.
Yep and we shouldn't win but this is LSU/AUB. I say we will upset those hillbillies, hope my hunch is right.
My mother was born in Beaumont. My grandfather was born in Gueydan and grandmother somewhere down Bayou DeLarge in Terrebonne Parish but by the time I was born they lived in Port Neches. When their friends would come over they would speak French. Drove me nuts not knowing what they were talking about.
