It's insane when you consider who all he's guarded in his career. Last year alone when guarding Jeudy, Ruggs, and Tee Higgins; who arguably the best WRs in the draft not named Jefferson, here were the stats: 3-11 for 39 yards, 0 TDs and 3 PBUs That doesn't even count all of the battles he probably had in practice with Jefferson, Chase, and Marshall. And if that weren't enough, he led the nation with a 29.1% forced incompletion rate on passes thrown his way throughout his college career. Not just one magical season, but since day 1. Incredible stats given the competition he's faced so it makes no sense at all.
I said it when I heard the pick. Clyde will fit in perfectly with the Chiefs offense and Mahomes skills. Life just got easier for Patrick Mahomes and much more dangerous for NFL defenses.
The GM and Andy Reid had a good feeling for CEH but needed the QB to be on board. GM called Mahomes on Thursday and said give me a name. Don't think, just give me a name. Patrick said "Clyde". All on board. It was a done deal.
Fulton and Divinity dropped because of their off filed problems. The teams that got them got steals. Moss dropped because of his foot.
I believe it. He's the most versatile back in the draft, when you count his ability to catch passes out of the backfield and ability the pick up blitzes. He might not start, but I think he'll see significant PT his first year. I was just looking at the Chiefs roster. Right now, they have 7 RBs, include 2 from LSU (CEH and Darrel Williams) and another from ULL (Elijah McGuire). Obviously, they're not gonna go into the season with 7 and since none of these guys are really household names, competition is going to be wide open, so its possible that the could win the starting job. We'll see, but I just think KC was the perfect team for him and his talents.
