    Interesting and somewhat prophetic.

    History repeating itself?

Miles did seem a little miffed in his interview after the game but when pressed, he didnt throw Crowton under the bus.

I've got a friend who lives in Oregon and is a hardcore Duck fan, he gave me this same line of reasoning when he left there for LSU. He talked about how well liked he was and what a nice guy he was... but said he was a 1 year contract OC at best. Said they weren't sad to see him leave UoO in terms of what he was doing with their offense.
Guess the question is, how do things turn around? After last season with the total melt down of the defense, drastic measures were taken, and now it looks like LSUs defense is returning to old form... so how do we fix the offesne?

If you remember last year, he didn't throw anyone under the bus then either, and didn't agree drastic changes were needed until after the Arky game.

yes I know. not his style. Admirable to a point until it becomes obvious, like last year. Not saying this is the case now, just saying..

That's a poorly written piece of persuasive writing, especially since it didn't address any of the positives of Crowton's career. For a piece that does address the positives of Crowton's career, you can go to his bio that LSU wrote for him on LSUSports.net. I've done plenty of my own research on Crowton, and I'm impressed with his coaching career. I think it is childish to attack the man's career just because our offense is struggling this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we shouldn't fire the guy... this is football, starters get benched and replaced all the time if they aren't producing, no matter how great they did in the past.

It may be, but it certainly predicted the last 3 years.

He came in and LSU scored the most points in LSU history. It went downhill after that. Quickly.

Another point some other places are making is that in each of his stops, he had the pleasure of an experienced QB his first year, and then could not develop a new one after that.

For an attempt at objectivity, Rivals.com has ranked Crowton a top 10 offensive coordinator (usually Top 5) every week since we hired him... all of 2007 and all of 2008. This season, this is how Rival.com has ranked him as the weeks progressed:

#6, #3, #3, #7, #8, #6, #14.... new ranking hasn't come out yet, but Crowton will drop much lower of course.

Yeah, I saw those posts written by 12-year-olds too, you really bought into that?
