Good for him. He is a real football player.

Just had a flashback of the beautiful catch on the sideline yesterday and ran into the endzone, just to have it called back....sigh...... He catch and block ability surely is reminiscent of Addai's, and so is his great vision.

This will turn a positive note into a negative one. One reason Hester gets so much PT is because of the deficiency in our OL. He helps the offense so much with good vision and pass blocking. He also runs inside very well. He is a great player and he helped make us better than we probably should have been.

I've heard several people say KW should get JH's carries. I like KW and CS. KW is especially good when he gets on the edge. Problem is our OL can't often get him on the edge. On passing downs Hester is a good receiver and is often needed to pick up the pass rush. He allows MF to get the ball to our other playmakers: (Doucet, Byrd, etc.)

Without Hester our offense is a rather talented. But it is also a collection of ill fitting parts. For that I don't know to blame. Inconsistent OL? Coaching? You tell me!

Props to Hester, shades of Hokie! He looks like a Sunday player to me.

KW reminds me of Gary James, fast, not great inside power. CS may emerge as our power, do it all back, but he has a way to go, especially on blocking. I saw him miss a block that Hester would have made easy, and Matt got sacked. Both of those young backs have a lot of improvement needed in all around skills that Jacob had developed over the years. That's what the off season is for!
