16-14 would put us on the NIT bubble. This year if the regular season champion of some off the wall conference doesn't win their tournament for the NCAA bid they get an automatic to the NIT. I see 3 games we should win. 17-13 should just about guarantee it.

Bama is well coached and athletic, should be able to stop Vandy and UGA. That white haired devil at USCE seems pretty sharp despite record. MOOU and Mizzou have records that look a step above what we’re capable of playing with. My thoughts on WW have cooled as late. I still think pretty highly of him, but my expectations are tempered. Rather than weaving magic on the floor, he’s putting in a workman-like performance, fighting a bunch of piecemeal guys every step of the way. 14-10 (7-11) puts us playing Mizzou/Bama/Arky, by estimation, which will probably be a tough draw for us. If WW could get a win in the SECT (I think he can get the guys to pull together for a game) with 7 regular season SEC wins, I guess we might be able to make the NIT. I think that might be the high-water mark. He is trying to conserve Waters, maybe he has a master-plan; I think it’s more likely he’s just trying to hold it all together. He’ll have high expectations going into season 2; hope he can build things up. He still has a lot of work to do, and he’s done a lot.
I think all the remaining games, outside of Bama, are winnable - tough but winnable. If we just win our remaining home games we'll finish 8-10 in conference.
Did anyone think you would be sniffing at postseason this year ? Clearly he is herding cats not of his choosing but he is pulling out all the stops looking for ways to get their best efforts. Seems like a nice reversal of fortunes to me.
I thought we might early, and was holding out hope. Can’t really fault WW too much, but he shouldn’t get a pass when we’re significantly outrebounded by a shorter team. In all, I still think he’s doing a good job with the hand he’s dealt; I agree with the herding cats comment. I’d be very distraught if he left; grateful to have him.
