I'm fine with this. I think he's been a weak link in our o-line this year, particularly in the run game. We ran the ball much better when he was hurt and De La Puente was in the lineup. Dude's had a long career, and probably knows its time to hang 'em up.

Yea but that leaves a hole in the o line that needs to be filled. I mean, the dude was truthful and willing to leave this years salary to quit but it would have been better for the Saints had he come to this realization last offseason.

I tip my big hat to Kreutz for being so honest today, but, seriously, why couldn't he have dug deep and give 110 percent for this last season?

Coach Payton must have ripped him mercilessly in a face to face meeting.

He left the team a couple of weeks ago, but forgot to tell anyone. He was a downgrade and one of the few mistakes the Saints made this off season. Too bad he couldn't have let the Saints know before the season so they could have signed someone else. It may have been a case of giving him a chance to save face and retire before he was benched.

I thought this was another 'can't miss' FA signing when we got him, but mctiger is right. He has been the weak link and never lived up to his reputation while he was here. If you don't have passion, you don't need to be playing, but it's a double edged sword because he basically quit on his team.
