That's what worries me. We're liable to see 1/9/2012 all over again. That's actually the one glimmer of hope I have. FU does suck, but they're D is legit and we moved the ball on the ground all night, despite being in the Swamp at night with a predictable 1970's Big 10 offense. Missouri beat FU the other night 42-13, but they only had 20 yards passing and 119 yards of total offense. (It helps to get 28 points off of 4 returns for TDs - 1 KO, 1 Punt, a pick/6, and a scoop-n-score)
I don't think our Oline is the problem. Ask yourself how many times this year have you yelled "THROW THE DAMN BALL" I did several times Saturday. Jennings I swear watched tape of Jefferson. He stands back there and bounces up and down if his primary is covered he will continue to stare at him frozen until he gets sacked. This is Jefferson 101. I think Jennings is a great kid. What I really like about him is unlike Jefferson he leads shoulders the offense He never blames his teammates or the game plan. That shows character. I saw him throw it around in the 2nd half of Wisconsin. We know he can do it. But for some reason he seems terrified to throw the ball. He can throw deep from time to time. But the O line is not the problem now. We need to establish a quick strike intermediate/short passes to your play maker(s) offense. Throwing the ball 14 times and completing 7 of them are in my opinion losses in our next 4 games. Even A&M and Arkansas (more so Arkansas)
Eve Everyone wanted Peyton. Peyton wanted Ole Miss. Ole Miss stunk. Cutt, at Tenn., was the big factor. Peyton made a wise choice.
