Ole Miss still hoping to become bowl eligible
    From tonight’s Jackson, MS, Clarion-Ledger:

    Bowl eligibility no certainty
After failing to become bowl-eligible against Auburn, the Rebels won’t get another chance until Nov. 14, when they face Tennessee at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. (Which will feature the return of Coach Ed [Oh No] Orgeron.)
Even if Ole Miss beats Northern Arizona this Saturday, it doesn’t count toward the six wins needed for bowl eligibility. Teams are only allowed to count one win against a Football Championship Subdivision team and the Rebels already burned that win against Southeastern Louisiana earlier this season.
That means the Rebels have to beat either Tennessee, LSU or Mississippi State to become bowl eligible. None of them will be a pushover.
At this point, it appears the best the Rebels could do in terms of bowl position would be a trip back to the Cotton Bowl. But that’s certainly preferable to a Christmas at home after such high expectations entering the season.

I just hope they play like they played today when LSU plays against them.

Man, I just absolutely love that the trainwreck we all predicted before the season is shaping up so nicely.

Ranking Ole Miss so high preseason was a joke... a cruel joke. Makes it that much sweeter.
