I think the biggest problem here is going to be the massive culture shock for Masoli. He's from San Fran & played ball at Oregon. I've not spent that much time on the west coast, but it's been enough to know that it's nearly another planet from Mississippi. Add to that, this kid is going to have some serious troubles with the heat during two-a-days. I doubt he's ever felt heat like this.
I agree about the heat....and Oxford is not San Fran.....good or bad for him? I don't know....Play the season, then if you feel like Dillenger.....get the heck out of Miss.
The bag of grass wasn't what got him suspended for all of the 2010 season by Oregon, it was pleading guilty to the burglary he and a fellow teammate on the Oregon team were arrested for. And Masoli lied to his coach saying that he was innocent on the deal. And, Hatcher posted that article above from the big Memphis paper (Memphis is right there by Ole Miss) saying that Masoli has armed robbery charges with his fellow teammates in high school. Ryan Perrilloux? All he got in trouble with the law for was using a fake ID to get into a casino. As for how you would protect your wallet by taking a criminal like Masoli... do you think the Oregon coach was stupid for kicking Masoli off the team? Was the LSU coach stupid for kicking 5-star-recruit Ryan Perrilloux off the team after the 2007 season (when RP had just won the MVP of the SEC Championship... and when this also set LSU back two years at QB)?
hahaha... What is this Ole Miss "Parks and Recreation" graduate school? The prisoners from the Mississippi State Prison that get to do the chain gang?
$5 bag of grass....Man, you need to go to the thread in roundtable and see the posts about the Hippie communes in Abita Springs in the 60's. Even back then I remember it being $10...and that was for Mexican leaves...no buds at all. . (good points about all the SEC schools having problem athletes though) And John, Nice photos of the parks and recreation grad students there !! :thumb: I guess instead of early enrolees...they have early parolees !!
