rp played the next season, just not as a Tiger. Same for Masoli.

He couldn't keep him, he was pushed too far. That don't mean he can't play football no more. Everyone gets a chance to right the ship, just might be at a school you never heard of.:):):):):)
My response to this was that I don't have any problem with Nutt taking him.

thats what i was getting at. i agree that masoli makes rp look like a choir boy. (as does half the tenn roster.) even tho we had an obvious need at qb miles had to cut rp loose. but he sure shouldnt have taken on a masoli type if that had presented itself.

I almost said that too but Ryan actually got suspended at Jacksonville State at the beginning of the 2009 season for violating undisclosed team rules so it doesn't bode well for Masoli in terms of "second chances" but we shall see. Nutt loves that kind of player and should be interesting to see how he adapts the offense to involve him.

I am very concerned....at first thought, I think we don't need this crap. I look into it more. The guy is not the typical dumbass looking only for the NFL. At his height, he has to know that he will never be a NFL qb. He got his degree in THREE years!!! Did RP? Heck no. He screwed up taking laptops with so called friends. Even when I played hs football...don't leave the other guys jersey in the dressing room. We all make mistakes in life that we wish we could make up for. Had he been a senior as for as competion is concerned, but a sophomore in school, I would say NO NO.

When a coach in the SEC is making the kind of bucks they make, they will do many things to hold on to that multi-million dollar a year job. These are KIDS. No matter how muscled or talented they are. I, as in most coaches, would protect my wallet.

Every school in Ms. has had some kind of problem with a player at some time or another. So has La. LSU has had their share. How many players have children and are not married? Had they not signed to play football, they would be having a hard time supporting their family. (if they even tried) Yet, they sign up and all of a sudden, they can afford to have the woman and child in an apartment and pay for food, lights, water, etc.

Don't tell me LSU has no problem players. Some they got rid of quickly....some not so quick. Even in the days of Billy Cannon, it was well known that he was a hell raiser. Seems like he thought that he would always be the golden boy....yet...fake $100bills brought him down. Yet he is still beloved.

All I can do is hope Nutt addressed him man to man and was satisfied.

As one sports commentator on radio today said,,,,,"eighty percent of the coachs in America today---left in the same position---would have taken him....."

    Time will tell............

PS...He got caught with a $5 bag of grass......anyone want to throw stones?
