Here is some more light on the subject: Rebels need QB; Masoli needs new home ... if it was only so easy | clarionledger.com | The Clarion-Ledger I don't see it happening.
He's a lot of fun to watch. Masoli. Has anyone ever seen a QB better execute that offense. Amazing how long he holds onto ball keeping defenders off balance.
Talk about issues: Masoli, a San Francisco resident ended up at a community college, City College of San Francisco, instead of a major BCS school straight out of Serra High School, because he served three months in Hillcrest Juvenile Hall in San Mateo, Calif., in 2005 for his role in several strong-armed robberies. The robberies included him and several other members of Serra's football team. The group physically accosted people at a local mall and area bus stops, demanding money. Masoli's parents claimed that their son was merely riding in the car during the robberies and not directly involved. ... Masoli, an All-Pac 10 selection last season, was thrown off the Oregon team in June following his second arrest in six months. He was arrested on a burglary charge in January, pled guilty and received probation. The June charge was for marijuana possession (less than an ounce), he pled guilty and paid a fine, but coach Chip Kelly kicked him off the team. Rebels put microscope on Masoli The Commercial Appeal The article says the deadline to enroll in Ole Myth's graduate school for the fall semester was April 1st. This may happen after all. I wonder if Brent Shaffer is pulling for him
I'm surprised that Kiffen/Orgeron aren't on this guy like gravy on rice...he seems to be just the type of person they're looking for..

Hmm... The decision on whether to take troubled Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is a "complex issue," according to Ole Miss chancellor Dan Jones.
