They are up 24-0 over Mississippi State in the first quarter.

    Their 4 losses were:

A last second GW FG by Wake Forest.
Lost by 4 to Bama and had the ball near midfield with less than 2 minutes to go.
Lost by 7 to South Carolina. The difference in that game was a 29 yard fumble return for a TD by SC.
Dominated Vandy by 2-1 stat margin, but lost by 6 due to Snead's 4 picks.

From all appearances, LSU has much more to worry about than just Bama in the West.

Auburn, Ole Miss and Arkansas will be formidable foes in the coming years.

I wouldn't worry about Auburn for a few years but depending on who leaves early, Ole Miss could be very good next year as well.

I doubt if it will take Auburn a few years to come back, unless they fire Tubberville.

Yep, the West elite (LSU/Auburn) have been replaced by Bama/Ole Miss.

    I agree 100 %.

Auburn needs to hold on to Tubby, otherwise I see their program in steep decline.

Don't think we'll ever consider Ole Miss a West elite team, and Bama is having their fun this season but will come back down earth next season with a raw QB at the helm.

Ole Miss, however, will never be a double digit dog to LSU as long as Houston Nutt is there. That much is for sure.

I hope not, but Nutt could get them on a good run. Both of them are certainly on the upswing while us an AU are on the down of good runs.

He will always have them playing competitively.
