Are you a polititian or something? You draw out of the poll only what you want. Just like I could argue that there are 48 people that don't realize that we have other choices at QB than JR.

i dont understand why people would ever believe flynn is better, seriously, miami didnt give a crap in that game last year and matt flynn hasnt done anything near what jr has. i mean seriously, everyone has some bad games here and there, but jr is a by far a better qb than flynn. if he wasnt, then how did flynn not take advantage of his oppurtunity in the spring when jr was nursing the shoulder. i think its sad that as lsu fans after a big win, that we are talking about this. :tigerhead LSU!

Gotta disagree with you, islstl. I'll go on record as saying had Flynn been given the starting nod in the summer, LSU would not be undefeated and Flynn would not be starting now. Not only that, but LSU would have many more sacks. IF a DE plows into Flynn, he's not staying up!

I support JR and I believe he gives us the best chance of winning. He has absolutely unbelievable physical abilities, but I'm afraid that he doesn't have a very high "football IQ." This is not to say I believe he is not intelligent. He may be able to design rockets, for all I know. But, on the football field, he lacks football intelligence relative to many other QBs. This is, I think, evidenced by some of the decisions that he makes and the fact that he frequently waits too long to throw the ball. He seems to often have a difficult time getting the timing right. His physical abilities, including the bazooka attached to his right shoulder, allow him to overcome this on the college football field - so I love him as LSU's QB. But, I'm afraid he won't do so well playing on Sundays if he doesn't drastically improve his "Football IQ." The NFL game is far different.

I hope he returns for his last year, and I think he will. I really like his chances of leading the Tigers to the BCS Championship game next year!

I can't vote 'cause I'm not a contributor (though I've donated about 70 bucks to this board)... but I say JR is our starter, should be our starter, and is the best choice for starter.. for the 2 cents that's worth.

You make a very good assessment of JR.

We'll never know what Flynn could have done with this talented offense. The offense would have been designed totally different to take advantage of his abilities, which are much different from JR's.

Next year's title chances will rely heavily on whether we can keep Pellini as DC.

I have been afraid that we will lose Pellini to a HC job - either Mich St or somewhere else. But, I'm optmistic that CLM will be able to lure another great DC if that happens. Don't you think many brilliant defensive coaches would jump at an opportunity to be the DC at LSU?

What all you Russell haters fail to understand is that the cupboard is bare and Russell is willing this team to victories. HE has only come up short 4 times (ie, he wasn't able to carry the team) and has been the architect of many come from behind wins after his team has put him behind the 8 ball by erasing his exemplary play and leadership. Without Russell this team would have self destructed because you all know that Flynn has only been consistent for a whole game only once, and he has sucked in every other instance when he has had the opportunity to play a handful of possessions. I can't believe the racism. You guys should really enter the 21st century and support the only option at QB. Any unbiased observer realizes how great Russell is. Look at all the mentions he's getting in the heisman race. If unbiased observers weren't singing his praises, I'd think maybe you have a point, but the national experts know that Russell is the only option at QB.
