that's fair, and Im a russel supporter

I must say that coming into the season I was pissed when russel was named the starter, thinking flynn had ran the team better.

but looking back, that was stupid of me... the guy's lost 4 games out of the 25 or 26 he's started... all of those, to probably top ten teams at the time...

    the guy's amazing

The most interesting statement he made (and true):

"His inconsistency is the only consistent thing about his game".

He is a truly maddening QB to watch.

Here is the one I thought was interesting

My law school friend and LSU diehard John Brown says, "The LSU fans who criticize JaMarcus now are the same ones who criticized Shaquille and then bragged about his pro career." He probably has a point.

And the one about if JR was at LSU 25 years ago, he would be immortalized (or something to that effect). My, how times have changed.

I never understood how a guy that completes nearly 70% of his passes could be called inconsistent...

I guess the definition of inconsistent is not being perfect 100% of the time.

The Tennessee game is a perfect encapsulation of JR's abilities/shortcomings. I don't need to go into details, this dude writing the article was very good in driving home the point with examples.

People need to get their head out their ass and stop looking at the stats against just the cupcake defenses. In the 3 SEC road games, he has 4 TDs and 6 INTs.

Or a guy who is #1 in the SEC in pass efficiency and who has fewer interceptions than Ainge, Leak, Stafford or Mustain . . . and gets described, "Yet for all these gifts, Russell retains the infuriating habit of occasionally tossing interceptions with reckless abandon. "

Every quarterback throws some interceptions and Russell throws fewer than most.

    D'oh!
