I wouldn't mind getting Paul Johnson from Navy, he wins with a completely different level of athelete. If he can do that at Navy I'd love to see what he could do with the talent we could provide.

    I absolutely disagree.

    In order of preference:

1 - Spurrier - top 5 coach in the country
2 -Kirk Ferentz - bright young coach
3 - Tubby - big game winner, good recruiter
4 - Jack Del Rio - good NFL, Louisiana ties.

Chris peterson a la Boise st. He's got the brains and the that fire that Miles seemed to lack. I just want to say again. Miles is a good coach, just not good enough for LSU. He can go to the Big 10 and coach mediocre players for an overhyped team.

    Re: BO PELINI

    Couldn't agree with your more.

4th and 10 we are sitting back. They lose their FB in the flat. No one around.
They score. No pressure, no blitz, just bad defensive coverage. Send Pelini packing.

We are in a 2 pt conversion, we have to pass, no luck

He probably wouldn't come but I sure like Sly Croom. If Miles goes.

One of the most sickening threads I have ever read. Sorry guys. There are 10 other SEC teams that wish they were in our position. There are 112-113 FBS (if you want to count W. Kentucky.) teams that would die to be in our position. I just don't understand some of the comments im reading. lol.

    Just my two cents.

    Les is our coach.
I'm sticking with him until or if he decides to make a move.
He is a good coach, a good man and as has been said, lots of SEC teams would love to be in our position right now.

    I agree here...

Most of you younger guys don't remember firing Charles McClendon because we would go 7-4/8-3 every season and lose to the Bear every year. Follow briefly an Anrsparger coaching era (too bad Bo Ryan didn't take a bus here) that left us in terrible shape as far as recruiting and we wander thru darkenss for far too long. Now we have a coach who has given us 3 ten win seasons and that isn't good enough? LSU is mentioned in the same breath as some of the greatest programs in college football...much of it due to what this coach has accomplished and you want to send him packing? Believe me I've cherished the last few years because us older guys know that you can't win National Titles every year and you can also be hoping at the end of the season you are wishing for 6 wins so you can make it to a bowl game.

It aint all that bad with Miles as coach...believe that.

    Re: New Head Coach

I don't think folks are calling for Les to be replaced, rather, they think Les will take the Michigan job if it is offered, and are speculating on who we would like if Les quits his job at LSU. He had NOT categorically denied that he would entertain an offer from Michigan, which leaves the impression he IS OPEN TO AN OFFER FROM THEM. He likes this team, and it arouses his emotion, but HE HAS NOT SAID THE MAGIC WORDS, I CHOSE NOT TO BE A CANDIDATE FOR THE COACHING JOB AT MICHIGAN.

I think that is why this thread exists, and some think we are trying to throw Miles under the bus, but that is not the case.
