Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

There are no guarantees no matter WHO we bring in, but Jack is among the classiest coaches I've seen and his style of football can win a lot of games. I would put my money on him staying longer than anybody.

All references to Spurrier's age in TF needs to stop. Age discrimination is against the law.:)

You're right about Muschamp, I'd love to have him back too. I'm not crazy about Tubby either, but he has gotten results and has put it on us several times. If Miles does go, Spurrier is probably at the top of the list.:geauxtige

It's a good party house, but I don't know if it's THAT big!

Id take Spurrier in a heartbeat and a great DC along with him.

I've heard that Spurrier got tired of playing golf everyday while he was between jobs, so that won't be a big motivation for him to quit.

And why would we want Orgeron as a DC? Maybe as an OLine coach instead?

I agree. Starting a hiring search on the premise of finding someone to stay forever is silly. OK, go get Curley Hallman....he'll never leave.

I also agree with Del Rio. He would be my choice to go after first and make him an offer he couldn't refuse. IMO, he's fed up with the Jaguar ownership shortchanging him and he would take the LSU job. I would make him tell me 'not interested' before I went to Rich Rodriguez and dropped the LSU mint on him. Make RR tell me 'not interested' and then go get Spurrier. If he's really not interested then go get Jason Garrett from the Cowboys. If he's not interested.......

And all of this should be done uber-quietly so as not to look like AD Jeremy Foley getting turned down by everybody until he got to Zook.

    So to recap:

    Del Rio
    Rich Rod
    Spurrier
    Jason Garrett

Then my main man Tom Tuberville. He'll stay even if we went behind his back to hire somebody else.
