If I remember that play correctly.....McFadden was in that play. He stayed back to pickup the blitz that never came along.

I agree, if the head coach works at it. You and SOS are both going to be in for a rude awakening if you think recruits are just going to flock to us because the OBC is the coach.

Me too, but it's my firm belief that Miles is holding him back. If you look at some of Crowton's other teams, they were alot more wide open. Maybe he's just tailoring his style to SEC play.

What about Lou Holtz's son (Skip I think)? I don't follow East Carolina much, but I vaguely recall somone (maybe his dad ) saying that, given the limitation of the school, he has done a great job.

I would be worried about Skip.

After that many years around Lou he probably has so much spittle in his eyes that he can't see straight.

a smurf turf coach? hell no.

not no but hell no. anyhow a head coach brings in his own assistants and hires new ones. you dont control a proven coach's hires and LSU will hire a proven coach if any.

And I may be the only one who saw it this way...but Spurrier sure doesn't seem to be a fan of LSU. Wasn't he still whining earlier this year about how we didn't even give him a second interview back in the day? If he's really been holding a grudge about that for this long, I'm not sure he'd even want to come here.

as much as I respect him as a coach, I dont see him as a good fit anymore. he may only be a few years older than some others but he has much more milage.

Kinda like a stripper who begins at 16 or 26. spurrier has made his rounds at 16 and has even whored himself to the nfl as well and now simply wants to play golf like all smart, tired men.

he's been rode hard and put up wet.


sure he would be ok for two or three years but LSU already has all of the chips in place and not in need of rebuilding. bring in someone hungry (insert mangino joke) like rodriguez with something to prove at a bigtime program.
