I agree. You can't do anything publicly until Les makes some sort of announcement. But it doesn't hurt to make a few phone calls just let you people like Butch Davis know that there may be better options if they show some patience.

Bingo. That's all I am saying. Let's at least tee up the ball in case we have to actually swing the club.

    Re: BO PELINI

They were in an obvious pass formation with a back in there for what appeared to be a max protect package (or at least Miles claims so in his presser). But I think the protecting back was the FB who caught the pass.

I don't even know if McFadden was even on the field.

What do you guys think of Boise State's coach (Petersen?)? He's only been a head coach for a couple of years, but what their OC before that, and he seems to get a lot out of the talent that he has. If he gets a defensive guru to basically delegate the defense to, and focuses on the offense, we could be in really good shape, considering the talent LSU has versus Boise State.

Advantage of Petersen over Spurrier - younger, would likely, assuming he succeeds, be at LSU a very long time.

This is the first game this season I havn't rewatched, but the announcers were questioning the play call presnap by saying the game is on the line and McFadden is on the sideline during this play.

I am pretty sure he was catching a sip of gatorade.

Wouldn't it be safe to assume that Skip would have put the process in motion as soon as there was a whiff of speculation that Carr was retiring?

Gotta beleive the man is at least that wise.

Re: LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

He does have a great talent for offense. But I love what Crowton is doing already. No need to hire a coach for their offensive genius.

We need a defensive minded coach (ala Saban) who will allow the OC to do his thing and not hold him back (ala NOT Saban).

Anybody know is Davis is a defensive coach? If so, i might change my order to put him at the top of the list. Spurrier coming in would probably replace Crowton since he likes to be his own OC. Although Spurrier is an offensive genius. So maybe they are 1 and 1A. I'll leave my list in tact as it is for now.
