    Re: BO PELINI

Bo has turned himself back into the DC he was when he first came...remember ASU in 2005 after LSU gave up like 700 yards to ASU? That's the Bo we are stuck with now. i wouldn't mind grabbing reggie herring at Arkansas if we can't get muschamp...i hope bo leaves in case you can't tell.

They just put a big picture of Less on their frontpage with a Breaking news tag.

I don't have a rivals membership, but I went to their board and they seem to be celebrating by the thread titles. Over 1500 folks on the board right now.

I don't know if they are celebrating getting him, or not getting him.

LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

With people like Butch Davis still available, LSU must start quickly on replacing Coach Miles if indeed he is headed to Michigan. Rumors are that the deal may be done as early as Sunday following the SEC CG. We shall see.

    My top coaches would be:

    1) Steve Spurrier - this is very doable. He wants to win another championship, not finish 7-5 for the rest of his career. He has Louisiana recruiting all to himself. He would welcome the opportunity in a heartbeat.
    2) Butch Davis - incredible job turning around the mess Erickson left behind. Quality coach, great recruiter and can coach em' up.
    3) Rich Rodriguez - don't know if this is possible, since he backed out of a reported deal with Bama last year and re-signed long term with WVU
    4) Frank Beamer - again, don't know if he would be interested.
    5) Dennis Erickson - I think he would see this as a move up, of course we would have to be concerned with him running a clean program.
    6) Mark Mangino - Kansas came out of nowhere this year and played really well even though their schedule was light. They played competitively vs Missouri, making a huge comeback that fell a little short.

of that list I think Spurrier is the guy should Les leave. I heard a rumor last week while at home that Spurrier has bought a house on a golf course that used to belong to a current MLB player......not sure if true or not, but certainly interesting given the current state of the LSU football union.

Rodriguez is a very close second.

If I had to guess, I would say Spurrier is wearing the hell out of his refresh button trying to find out info about this just like us. Your comments about him winning another championship are dead on. He knows it will never happen at SC.

I don't know if this is the best long term option for LSU, but in todays world of CFB I am not sure there is such thing as a long term option. If this goes down it will be a whole lot of fun for the next 4-6 years at least.

I still don't understand the fixation on Spurrier. He's burnt out and he HATES recruiting.
