I don't think Miles is going anywhere. Michigan will probably hire the Cincy coach or Ferentz. I don't think Miles is as high on the list as people think. He may get the offer if the top 2-3 guys turn it down. Michigan is stuck up and Miles likes to push the envelope. I hope I'm right, I would hate to see him leave.

You had to go an bring the wife thing up... we can all get that at home. That's why we all are here... our wives aren't here to tell us we're wrong.

Au contraire. On here you can get someone else's wife to tell you you're wrong. Does that make it worse?

    A philosophical friend once asked:

"If a man speaks and there is no woman there to hear him,

    Is he still wrong?"

We're still waiting for the definitive answer, but the preliminary results indicate that he would be wrong.

That's kinda what I'm thinking, though most have said 5 years. My response was if we could get a top notch coach for 5 years, I'd be pumped. We're not going to be on top of CFB forever, no program ever has. Five more years with what's happening now would be great. Not that I think we'll ever be like Ole Miss as of lately and always good but we've been at the top, being in contention a lot in the last several years- even though our final record didn't always reflect it.

Believe me, I've been wrong too many times, in fact, have even taken blame for things I haven't done- I know the feeling too.

That happens on a daily basis. Sometimes I get disappointed when I try to stir the muck and I get a polite response. My favorite is when I can get tirk on my ass though. I used to be able to push grad's buttons too but he sees right through me now.

Ya think she's gone to heaven for puttin up with me??

I get the feeling that even if Miles is offered and does go, it won't be easy for him. I also have to believe that the same ones who were NEVER satisfied won't be with the next hire either.

Coaches have to make decisions in seconds and we get to critique them for days. It is possible to have different means to an end and there's always room for criticism with any of them. I know too well the scrutiny that accompanies the coaching business, but like the old saying goes, "The world is like a fruitcake, it wouldn't be complete without a few nuts".

I'd say about half the time. OTOH, the times when he's probably right are usually missed as the woman is too busy talking at the same time.

I can think of one reason why Darth wouldn't leave uSC. He has playing priveleges at Augusta National and where he to depart Hootie Johnson would jerk those priveleges quicker than Darth could toss his visor.
