Well, Miles has **** on his mind. If you look at his recruiting record to date... he has been solid. If we lose most of this staff... I think we need at least one member of this incoming staff with connections inside of La as well as the rest of the Southeast/Texas.

Re: Officially had it with CLM

I'll be the 1st to admit that my hate for Les Miles over the last couple days was because of the "assumption" we were being crowed NC before we even finished the season. Now that I've stepped back and looked at the big picture, I want an SEC title and the NC would be icing.

This one caller yesterday on a talk show hit the nail on the head and made me realize what an idiot I was for wanted to boot Les.

Miles is the winningess coach in LSU history. Since at LSU, he's in the top 3 of coaches in wins, behind Carroll and Tressel.

    Coach Career NC
    Tressel 208–72–2 = 1 BCS NC
    Carroll 74-14 = 1 BCS NC
    Spurrier 163–55–2 = 1 Non-BCS NC
    Stoops 95-20 = 1 BCS NC
    Bowden 373-118-4 2 NON-BCS NC

Why don't these "great" coaches in today's game have such a small number of NC under their belt? Just because a coach wins 1 NC doesn't mean he'll do it every year or every 5 years for that matter.

I think many of us as LSU fans, including myself, are just spoiled rotten with our 2003 NC and we expect to win one now every couple years and how quickly we forget about the Curley Hallman days.

Isn't this the guy that clair said the coaches didn't think would qualify, thus they weren't overdoing time spent on him?

I was agreeing with you. The "Gap" is already becoming apparent, possibly, with attn. elsewhere.

    Re: Defensive Coordinator Wish List

What????? That is NOT true. Have you looked at what he did?

In 2003, Orgeron guided USC's highly-regarded "Wild Bunch II" defensive line (ends Kenechi Udeze, Omar Nazel and Frostee Rucker and tackles Shaun Cody and Mike Patterson) as Troy led the nation in rushing defense. Udeze was a consensus All-American first teamer and a NFL first round pick, while Udeze, Cody and Patterson all earned All-Pac-10 first team honors (the most defensive line first teamers from any league school since Washington State also had 3 in 1994).

He was still in place when we ran the table in 2004. The only thing that isn't true is that he wasn't the DC. He was the DL coach, Asst Head Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator.

All said, I'm hearing it's more likely he'll end up in the NFL somewhere. He'd be more than welcomed back to USC but his heart is in the South.

    Orgeron hates LSU!!!

He'll find a way to screw up recruiting or the season.

Bob Stoops was DC at Florida before they hired him at OU.
