Re: Officially had it with CLM

Fair enough, but put it into the context of preparing for the Arkansas game. SEC West...check. SEC Championship...not there yet, but the UA results will have no bearing on it. National championship...can't talk about it because we haven't won the SEC yet, even though the UA game will have significant consequences?

Muschamp. I don't think Orgeron is coordinator material...I might support hiring him as a position coach (maybe special teams....I think he is capable of teaching players to run down the field and knock the hell out of somebody), but under no circumstances as a coordinator.

I would love to see Muschamp back. There is no doubt that the Auburn team can play defense. What did they hold McFadden to? 30 yards?

I'd love Muschamp. He's so intense! I love the YouTube segment of him MFing all over the place during an ESPN game!

If CLM stays, I doubt he'd try to lure Muschamp back to LSU, though. Would be too much of a reminder of the Saban days.

if Miles and Pelini leave, Fisher as head coach, Muschamp as DC.

    Re: Defensive Coordinator Wish List

Unless we offer Muschamp a lot more money than he currently makes, why would he come back? Was it his relationship with Saban that caused his departure or was it Saban taking the Miami job that caused him to bolt for job security, I don't recall? Anyway, I would like to have Muschamp back. We must learn to shut down the type of offense Rich Rodriguez pioneered and now Fla and Ark utilize with running QB's who ever the new DC is. We need speedier linebackers similar to what Auburn employs that are able to guard these guys in space and cover backs and TE's in pass coverage. Even teams like Kentucky give us fits because of our lack of pass coverage. It is too bad we don't have an entire team of DB's and LB's made up of Chad Jones prototypes, but I think that is the ideal given the new offensive schemes.

    Re: Defensive Coordinator Wish List

Muschamp has said on more than one occasion that he is running Tubbervilles defense, not his. In one interview I heard he was asked how his defense worked so well at Auburn and he was very quick to reply, "this is not my defense". Regardless I would take Muschamp back in a heart beat but I dont see where coming here from Auburn will help him all that much. Unless he just liked BR much better than Aub the money is probably going to be the same. I just dont see a compelling reason for him to come back.

Here is a name that you should think about. Jon Tenuta! This guy is aggressive as he11 and has made every defense he coached better in the first year. Give him our talent and he will be a master. He will also instill a lot of fear in opposing coaches because he is very well respected in coaching circles. If he doesnt get a head job and we cant get Muschamp, I would take this guy and be very happy.
