Or people who don't remember the program during the 90s.

I still get the shakes when I remember that decade. :dis:

The vast majority of 1-A programs would be happy to go to a bowl game every year, regardless of which one. It's pretty sad when you have "fans" that want to fire a coach who currently has 6 losses over a 3 year period in the toughest conference in the country. I can assure you CLM desparately wanted to win the NC, he had an extra 2 million plus reasons to.

Wow, you're being blinded by your attempt to defend Miles on every front. You're missing the point. Downplaying the the importance of the Arky game was what I found to be a bit disturbing.

Funny how some people say that others are blinded by defending CLM, when at the same time they aren't willing to accept the fact that it is not LSU's God given right to win the championship every year...I just think it's silly for some people to say that he downplayed the importance of the Arky game...I stil think that some fans want LSU to lose so that they can use CLM as a punching bag and run him out of town...That's just sad!!!:angryfire

I think what Miles is saying is we play one game at a time. We shoot for the West, then the SEC and then the NC. If you've got your mind on the NC when you haven't even won the West, you won't win a darn thing. That is football coaching 101. Apparently you missed the class.

Hey knucklehead, The press conference that your refering to was on Monday, after (after) the Arkansas game. What do you want him to say? Let's give up on ther rest of the season, we have nothing to play for. No, he has to get the team up and ready to play for the SEC championship, a pretty important game (or maybe to you and some other fans (?) apparantly not that important an accomplishment).
