    And we likely will win the SEC. Point is, its very unlikely we would have won the NC without winning the SEC along the way. That goal would have taken care of itself while we focused on the rare opportunity to win the national championship.

    I've always been a Miles supporter and still am as long as he coaches here, but I have mixed feelings about him at the same time. I heard him make a comment along those lines in his post game presser after the Arkansas game. He mentioned that the team wasn't happy about the loss but they have another game to prepare for, one more important than the one just played (Arkansas). Those comments had me scratching my head. Did he not realize with the loss to Arkansas also went our NC dreams? I don't get it.:huh:

    What do you want him to say? "Let's pack it in because we have nothing left to play for."? He still has a team to motivate with a lot left on the table. I haven't read or heard the press conference, so I'm not sure under what context his comments were made.

    You do realize that if you beat Arky but lose the SEC CG, your NC hopes are gone, your conference Champs is gone, probably a spot in a BCS game is gone?

    I'd say that yep this next game IS a whole lot more important than the last one was.

    You don't, and can't know what he told the team. Besides, setting your goal as the MNC is just stupid. That's like setting a goal "to be happy". Les has always been clear that he does all he can to win every game. You cannot do better than that.

    Let me ask you a question first. How often, since the Florida game, did you get the impression that our team was not very well prepared for the game you were watching? My answer would be "frequently." What did I want him to say? How about,"I apologize, we had a chance to win the national championship, and I should have done a better job of preparing this fine team for that challenge." I can respect that a lot more than,"our priority was to win the division."

    No, none of us know what he told the team. But "setting your goal as the MNC is just stupid"?!? When you're ranked number one or two in every conceivable poll with 2 games left? You can't be serious?
