    Urban Meyer.

Spurrier is way past his prime. He is but a myth at this point. As of now, I have no reason to believe any differently about Davis. Plus, you'd have to wonder how he'd handle all the pressure down here given his recent troubles with panic attacks.

The right coach for us is going to be one of the lesser-knowns at one of the smaller programs...Schiano, Kelly, Peterson, etc. I don't know what makes people think that Rich would leave WVU. His situation is too perfect over there.

Personally, I'd like to see Del Rio, but that's a bit of a reach.

What sucks about this year is that there aren't all kinds of big names looking for jobs, as was the case in 2004. And if the way that that search was handled is any indication of how things will be run this time around, all you Croom-supporters just might get your wish...

Umm no! If that's the case then why did Miles bring in an OC from the Pac-10?

I just don't get it....Wednesday we were doing a march in appreciation of CLM and now everyone is ready to pay his way out of here, after one freakin game.

Sorry, just getting sick of some of these posts.

Somebody already said this but be careful what you wish for. You never know what the replacement will look like and the last few years have been awesome relative to what I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. It's easier for this program to go backwards than forwards when you're this high to begin with!!

    Re: New Head Coach

I was a little pissed last night when I posted, due to the fact that I expected us to run over Ar-Kansas...
But I have been following this team since I could walk. I was fed LSU football for many of years...it was a family requirement.
I remember the bad days, and to be honest, these are good days!

Do I disagree with Miles' coaching style? Yes!
The one thing I have seen in the transition from the Saben days is no domination talk (which a few here have noted). I just do not see the domination we should have with the talent we have,

This coming year, I don't think we will have a championship team. One of the places we are lacking is on special teams. Thats the coach that should go if anyone. The second is the DC. We used to dominate, now we are just 'ok'. I know Miles coulda/shoulda taken power on bad defensive calls, but he didn't. He obviously believes in his coaches.

If he stays, he needs to make some changes.

But all in all, we are having a great decade! Sure we had some bad times...but 12-2? ( if we make it ), is obviously a great season. Not the BEST, but close to it!

    Enjoy!

    Re: New Head Coach

After giving it some thought. Spurrier would be a good choice although he is getting old. Jack Del Rio would be awesome but he isn't leaving Jacksonville. I think the most solid option would be Petrino.

I think this is all a moot point though. Michigan is not going to hire Les Miles after his recent displays of being a terrible strategist and student of the game. Here is what the media is saying about him

    Re: BO....ROKE PELINI

not blitzing is NOT the way to protect bad corners, a good pass rush makes your corners look great. if you can rush the opposing qb into making bad passes, or get some tipped passes and get some floating ducks out there your corners look alot better. I agree that we need to blitz more, but then again if its a good qb and he makes good, quick choices he can pick you apart like flynn did to their D in the 4th and OT

Wasn't really saying that's what BP was doing. Just trying to figure out why the no blitzing.
(meant to put a question mark behind it)
