    Re: BO....ROKE PELINI

your right. If corners are bad you need to let them blitz 4 and 10 (take some pressure off of their lack of talent.)

    Re: BO PELINI

All I want to know is why they continue to do the same things over and over and expect the same result. Last time I checked that was the definition of insanity. I hate to say it , but looking at the facts of this season , it looks like the players made this season , not the choking, oh sorry i meant coaching. Bo needs to go , plain and simple. Miles needs to go , plain and simple. And not becuase that are not good coaches , but it is obvious that their heart isn't in LSU. I would love to have a competitive coach that truly loved LSU , and not use us as a stepping stone to go somewhere else.

    Re: New Head Coach

Guys let's get one thing straight if les leaves not one of you are going to start an uprising. Les Myles is a mediocre coach if you look at him when the pressure is on he seems to be in la la land half the time sure he can go for it on 4th down who cant. 1st example that he is a bonehead going for two in the 3rd quarter, he didnt know what was going on when pelini called our last time out cuz we were caught in man to man coverage, he looked dumbfounded......penalties and play calling was absolutely horrible.

Guys you can make excuses for myles but with the three teams that he has coached were national title caliber teams not sec west champions we dont donate to the taf and travel miles for consolation prizes especially when the talent is there. i still think some1 owed some1 a favor when he was hired im still baffled.

Trust me if u never have driven a stick but i gave you a ferrari with the F1 paddle shifters i gurantee you that you could drive it. saban left this guy the keys to a super car and he couldnt get it around turn 4.

I for one have been thinking of a way we could get rid of the guy since he got here. Thank You Michigan

NEW COACHES I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE.

    1. SPURRIER
    2. BUTCH DAVIS
    3. I REALLY LIKE JUNE JONES OUT AT HAWAII
    4. TUBERVILLE
    5. NORM CHOW
    6. DENNIS ERICKSON

EITHER OF THESE WOULD BE AN UPGRADE OVER WHAT WE HAVE

    Re: BO PELINI

As much as the defensive coaching this season has left me scratching my head, tell me this: If you're the DC, how do you stop the Wildhog formation, given LSU's injuries on defense? Coming out of the huddle, you don't know who the QB is. Everyone seems to wanna blitz, but doing that against McFadden will get you burned big time if he scrambles and the LBs/DBs aren't fast enough to stop him upfield. And then, for the first time since the start of the season, you have the other playmakers (Felix Jones, Marcus Monk) to worry about if he throws a quick pass in the flat or downfield.

I'm every bit as frustrated as the rest of you, but I just don't see how blitzing every series would have helped given the offense Arky runs with everyone healthy and LSU's D banged up.

Dolemite, I don't think they are saying we should have blitzed all the time - but it would've been a great idea to blitz and pressure the real quarterback - Casey Dick - especially in critical down and distance situations. Like 4th and 10 in fist OT.... :eek:ldskule:

    Re: BO PELINI

heck he was burning us in the zone why not blitz half of the time we were one missed tackle away from bringing mcfadden down bltzing at least puts 1 to 2 more guys in the backfield......blitzing disrupts alot of things it makes guys decide quickly instead of sitting back in a zone allowing things to develop and if you watched that wild hog formation everything has to develop because they use alot of misdirection blitzing would disrupt that.....

2 plays killed us the penalty on doucet that brought the hester touchown reception back.

the 4th and 10 game on the line u have to blitz because every reciever they have is going to run at least a 10 yard route. what happened we rushed 4 an we did nothing exactly, what we had been doing all day no pressure result the guy has all day and throws a perfect ball heck cant fault the secondary cuz they had great coverage but they couldnt hold 4ever.

    Re: BO PELINI

Gents, I don't know how much of the scheme and when to blitz and when not to blitz is Pelini or Miles.

What we're watching isn't Crowton's offense at all so I don't know if that's all Pelini's choosing either. If anyone has ever watched a Crowton offense, you know that what we are running isn't it.

I believe it's Miles who is choosing certain formations and calls on both sides of the ball. To me, it all starts and ends with Miles. And on 4th and 10, by-God you have to blitz that crap QB.

    Re: BO PELINI

I absolutely agree that we should have blitzed on the 4th and 10, no doubt about it. I also think we should have blitzed the hell out of Andre Woodson. But a lot of people seem to think that this D can run a Saban-style defense against all our opponents and get much better results. But with our defensive depth pretty much used up in the front 7 and the coverage limitations of our DBs, I don't think that's the case. And if they did and got burned, the same people would be complaining about blitzing all the time and not sitting in coverage.
