Amazing closing speed, attacks the ball carrier with an attitude. Looks to be very fast as well.....should fit perfectly into Chavis LB mold. I think we are about to witness a new era for LSU LB's. We are already known for DB's and Defensive Linemen but I predict that by the time this LB class is done, we will be known for LB talent as well. Because of size our LB's might ultimately be drafted as Safeties IMHO.
Les and Chief have been raving about Jones for the past month. I can't wait until tonight. So the world can see how important Star Ratings are. This kid stepped on campus in August, and they can't keep him off of the field. You are talking about shinning/ standing out in a group of about 12 LBs. And most people thought we were homers when we were raving about this kid. Always trust what you see. Same for Stephen Rivers, 2013 Commit Melvin Jones and Michael Patterson from Winnfield. Patterson is a straight beast, yet most sites have him rated as a 3 star. Keep doing what your doing Les and Company. The eye never lies. Most star ratings are created by internet scouts who have never even played a snap of football.
I think LSU will have some of the best LBs its ever fielded in these next few seasons. I really like what I see in Jones and Alexander. They both look like studs. Feist and Louis also have some talent.
Imagine another 10-20 lbs of pure kick ass muscle on this young man. He is going to be an animal in the future.
