While I was a senior at Jesuit we had a pretty big kid as an underclassmen. He went to play OL at LSU, but his name escapes me. He didn't start or anything. Special teams duty at the most. This was around 1998 or so. I graduated in '96.

Chris Markey ended up at UCLA at TB, and Kris Brown scored a touchdown against LSU in the SECCG for Tennessee.. he was a TE at Jesuit, but played FB for Fulmer's Vols. Think this was the Anthony Scelfo Jesuit team. Markey was a monster. They had some great games against Perrilloux's ESJ.

There is an article in The Advocate this morning stating Jones' commitment to LSU has been refuted by his high school coach. But Jones says he has committed to LSU. I guess we have to go by what Jones says, but still, it raises a question.

Coach probably wasn't expecting the news to break this early. Wasn't supposed to be public knowledge until at least Sunday.

Eric Kittock was in my graduating class at Jesuit, who was a starting DL under Stovall back in the day.

Yep, I remember Bob. Good kid, graduated Jesuit a year behind me. I don't recall if he got hurt or if he just didn't pan out playing at LSU.

Thanks to everyone else who pointed out other JHS grads to play at LSU. I wasn't familiar with any of the names, but soon I'll be lookin em up!
