I think he ends up at Utah, but it is pretty cool to make the final two for a Mormon kid on the west coast. As Izzy pointed out we don't have much instate OL talent in LA next year so it would be nice to stockpile one for the future, the distant future. Hell with a 3 year mission, some of the older people on this board may not be around for his senior year. Next year we need to recruit an Amish kid.
If he goes on a mission or not has not been decided yet. So we can only assume that as of now but his dad said on a few occasions that he may never take a mission. He may decide to play a year and then go as well which would count against our numbers this year.
i thought Utah is giving his dad a coaching job?? has anyone else heard that? seems like done deal if true.
Looks like he might wait until the end of next week to announce. Utah will decide by then and I it looks like Filo will follow if that is the case. If he doesn't get the job I think it is safe to assume that it will be a LSU/UCLA battle. http://timesfreepress.com/news/2009/feb/04/some-top-prospects-still-could-pick-tennessee-vols/
This one is all over the place. Now being reported he will sign with USC but why would he go ahead and do that with his HC not decided on Utah yet. I assume his coach told him to forget about waiting on him.
