I know what you're saying, but that makes absolutely no sense, and is taken from an article with an extreme Bama bias. Take it with a grain of salt. That same article mentioned how he was seen with Tide recruit Gilberry at the senior bowl, but never mentioned that he hung out with JR, CJ, and PJ.
We are sitting on 22 without Wilson. Assuming 2 out of the 3 you mentioned don't qualify we would have 4 scholarships left. 22 minus 2 plus Clemons = 21. This assumes Clemons counts toward a scholarship this year. This also assumes we lose no one who has given a verbal. Heyward has just gone to Ohio State. We need all of your first 4 LA boys. If we lose one recruit already landed we need Scott or Corley also and that is certainly no lock. I'm worried!!! I want them all!!
Initially thats how I felt as well. That it was down to Bama, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. While the LSU visit was due to respect. Im not really sure what to think about it. It makes no sense at this stage to take a visit JUST out of respect. He lists Tn as a possiblity, but he hasnt even visited them. Only Bama and Oklahoma. Im starting to feel LSU has a decent shot at him, but Bama is in the lead. Corleys dad in the article also said he feels LSU is in the lead right now because of Miles. Lets also not forget that he was hanging out with Russell, plus his HS teammate Jones being a Tiger all helps our chances. Cparso, what are you hearing about Corley?
Ohio State only had 1 other D-lineman recruited up until now, I gotta believe that had a lot to do with it. And Ohio State was known for having a stout defense this past season, even though we know now that was a farce after Florida exposed it big time.
I had a feeling he was going to go to OSU. The guy that was helping him along in the recruiting process is an OSU guy. So figures he would try to persuade him there. Besides as mentioned above, OSU usually sends DL to the NFL.
New game plan Rayville football coach Bo Barton confirmed offensive tackle D’Montreal Wilson (6-5, 295), a first team member of The Advocate’s Super Dozen who committed to LSU in March, will not sign with LSU on Wednesday. Barton said Wilson, rated the nation’s No. 22 offensive tackle by Rivals.com, will attend Ittawamba (Miss.) Community College instead because he will not meet NCAA entrance requirements. Maybe we get him next year. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/5543026.html
