Williford will commit soon after and LSU will indeed accept.

    Welcome aboard big fella.

The 2nd coming of Big Herm. We'll call him Big Will.

It is my understanding that Orelus has already decommitted. LSU has room for Williford and one other lineman.

I was a little underwhelmed when the Williford talk started, but the premium boards have a lot of great info on him that makes him sound very very good.

You never like it when the home state schools don't offer, though.

Rivals still has Orelus as a solid verbal to LSU.

Right, Orelus has not decommitted and of late it seems like he will not waiver on his commit. Also saw an update where he was recruiting an prospect for LSU. However, I would still say he is the main one to look at in our current class that has the highest chance to waiver down the line.

Considering Orelus supposedly didn't impress at LSU's camp, I think there's a good chance he doesn't end up in this class.

Without withdrawing his scholly would we encourage a commit to look elsewhere if we thought we had better prospects and/or possibly made a mistake in offering. Is that what you believe may happen in this situation?

Initially we are more likely to not try to discourage him from contacting/visiting other schools...but in the end, if we want to take a mulligan then we will encourage him to explore all his options.

I don't understand the logic of offering and accepting a commitment without getting a good look at a recruit. I can think of one other commit that was probably offered too quickly.

It happens all the time. You take a commitment from a solid guy with good potential who you want in the class, but then you realize there are better options on the board.

We won't do it with a Louisiana commit, but out of state guys are fair game.
