It isn't as hard as you think. I grew up watching Billy Simms because LSU was never on TV during those days. I would not put it 50/50 though, maybe more like 100 LSU and I like OU.
My wife was from the all barn side of the state. So a proper football culture and environment had not been properly established. This is what is commonly referred to in Alabama as a misspent youth. In reflection, I'm thinking complete simulation to the Crimson way was complete 3 months into the courtship. Turns out she wasn't just looking for another magnetic personality with super charisma, but a team who truly reflected the values and virtues that she could encompass, while at the same time mixing and matching endlessly with the crimson motif. The two have become number one again and Roll Tide!
Well I am divorced a couple of times (my avatar prolly explains why). Neither of them were "huge" sports fans. The last actual girlfriend is an Okie Light fan. So she wasn't too crazy about Les Miles, but she would cheer for the Tigers with me.

Who does Bama play this weekend? Serious question cause I haven't looked at any schedules. I will be pulling for Bama til the showdown btw.
