    He tried to raise the academic standards at he university and they didn't agree. That's my guess. He was probably smarter than all of those clowns and wanted to make LSU a premier academic university. Too bad. We lost a good one.

    I work with one of the Department Chairs and I asked him if he has heard any rumors about what happened. He said he has heard nothing at all. There are no stories about why at all. The only thing people can come up with is that this is Lombardi saying this is my playground, i say how can play in it.
