After a tour of the Ford Center and a presentation from Oklahoma City and state officials, Stern said Tuesday a subcommittee of three NBA owners would suggest approval of the SuperSonics’ move by the rest of the league. The Link
good. with all the smack they talked about how much better they are than New Orleans, I am glad they get the Sonics. They will get to see 1st-hand how much it sucks to attend games for a team that will only win 20 games a year.
Yeah, and they're going to leave the name in Seattle just in case they get a future franchise there ala the Cleveland Browns. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3310713
Clair's right, though. There was a lot of "OKC is better than New Orleans" talk when they tried to steal the Hornets out from under us, so there's a lot of bitterness there.
i havent seen any news at all today,or even had the tv on, so i hadnt heard that yet. im happy for us.
that was only a small number of people from what i have seen. you seem to be lumping all of us together with the loud mouths. most people i talked to understood it was only temporary and were happy to be temporary hosts. a lot of people here now still follow the hornets and always will.
most likely the fans with more of a vested interest were the ones taking the cheap shots. casual fans (nba) like you and myself arent as emotionally tied as a season ticket holder of either fanbase. diehard fans without a pro team will sell their soul to get one. Cant say I blame them. losing one would be even worse. ask cleveland.
Well, unfortunately that minority was the news story and not the people who understood what the deal really was. Alls I knows is that if you try to take-ah my team, I break-ah your face. Kapish? No worries, I harbor the same feelings towards San Antonio for trying to steal the Saints. That said, congratulations and good luck.
