My Yeti 45 is awesome and does work as advertised with a caveat. To keep ice for days, you have to start with a cold ice chest, not room temp as the insulation / plastic is so thick it will start the melt until it gets cold inside. Conversely, you can do the same with heat as well.
One pot, Jambalaya? French Bread, a second pot, White Beans. Too easy. An yes with only a few over 40K making the game, shouldn't take long to get there with hot food.
NOPE ... go to the store and buy one of those round coleman or igloo water coolers, line it with an oven browning bag, poor in soup, gumbo, chili, little hot sausage links in BBQ sauce or any other food. It'll keep it hot for hours. This was a trick I came up with in my catering gigs.
When I cook jambalaya for people to take to tailgates, I put it in a styrofoam cooler with a plastic bag liner. Stays hot for several hours. That said, if it was for my own tailgate in a similar situation and I wanted jambalaya, I would just cook it at home and load up the entire pot full of Jambalaya. It will stay hot in the pot for as long as you need as well.
Cambro & other companies make vessels designed for this which are not very expensive that do a great job. You can get them at any restaurant supply. Caire in NOLA sells to the public. I've been catering for many years and have had great success with them. Best part is that they come in several sizes & the lids lock down tight. You want to be able to fill the container to the brim as air is the enemy.
I'd like to have one but that just seems like way too much to pay for an ice chest. I'd like to have a Lamborghini too
