The most interesting thing heading into the Auburn game is what players get replaced in the starting lineup.

If our O-line stinks this badly, shouldn't some of these backups get a shot instead? I'm tired of us beating our heads against the wall with no results.

Running back is probably a moot point since we haven't probably considered taking the redshirt off Ford's back. Which is a mistake.

We need some new blood in there. Randle should be catching 4 or 5 balls a game by now. Shepard needs 15-20 touches a game. Let's mix it up and confuse someone for a change.

SabanFan is unpredictable. You cannot put SabanFan in a box.

    1. Dumb down the offense -- stick to basics -- rely on atheletes to make plays.

    2. Get rid of the change of plays at the line of scrimmage..you do not have the mental tools to do that.

    3. Open up the backfield to all that want to run the ball. Be brutal at practice, the best runner mans up

    4. Again, keep it simple and executable.

100,000 fans = 1 coaching staff, IMO. But that's because out of 100,000 guesses someone is bound to be right

Well, I think he doesn't get his passes off quickly enough, he doesn't see his hot reads, and he has happy feet in the pocket for a drop-back quarterback. Admittedly he could use a better pocket than the OL has been delivering, but I'd have to call Jefferson a potential pocket passer. I don't think he's there, yet.

Red, agree. Brett Favre is a QB and JJ is "no Brett Favre". Want to see a pocket passer in action? Watch the Vikings vs Ravens today - it's in the second half now.

Several things stick out in Favre's first half:

    1. How quick he gets rid of the ball - no winding up for the TV cameras.

    2. When a quick sideline passplay has broken down, he chucks it into the stands and NO SACK, thank you very much.
    3. Happy feet is a good description for JJ in the pocket. I would call it self-confidence, actually. It's an athlete's inward indecision being expressed physically. They discussed this very issue on NFL Today, today.

I watched the end of the LSU-GA game when the Tigers had too many OL sick and leaving the game. However, in our last crucial series, Alex Hurst didn't (1) false start or (2) let his man beat him. Doesn't he deserve another chance at replacing Lyle Hitt who has been getting beatdown more than a tough steak? He gets my vote. :thumb:

Tigers by five Oct 24th  - take your pick! :hihi:

So you want to bring in a freshman who has never played or a soph who has shown he has the same weaknesses minus JJ's escapability?

I'm lazy. If I become Miles today, then I take my money and run. I'll leave it up to the TF football gurus to sort out the teams problems. I'll be off in paradise in the meantime.
