Our defense matches up really well against your standard offense. You're a basic run and pass offense (nothing flashy). Wells is a tough runner, but he's the kind of runner we can and have stopped all season long. Unless you're going to all of a sudden run the wildcat formation like Arkansas does, you will have limited success running the ball on us.

Your defense does have the ability to stop our offense however. That will all depend on how well Flynn plays. Like you alluded to, he is a fairly average QB (a lot like Boeckman) and is quite inconsistent at times. But we have the ability to pound the ball with Hester. Sounds like with your young DTs, we could exploit that all game long. I think we have much more depth at RB that keeps our guys fresh come the fourth quarter, and we have many more options that cause a defense headaches defending us (vs Wells who pretty much the exlusive RB for you guys).

Like many have said on here, IF LSU allows Ohio State to "stick around" then it's anybody's ballgame. If LSU doesn't make the silly mistakes and penalties, we might have a repeat of last year's mightmare for OSU.

Pray...pray hard...LOL. (Just a little good natured fun)...
Truth is, the Tigers are gonna come into this ballgame healed and rested. The Tiger team you guys are gonna see on that field is gonna be more akin to the one that "waxed" VT. The only way OS would take this game is if LSU allows them to stay in it. Otherwise, if the Tigers get up early, its gonna be a foregone conclusion!

The game will come down to attitudes and mind set. Throw your speed or our power out the window. Remember 2002 against Miami. It was a joke that OSU was even there against the crazy talent and speed of that Miami team, but OSU wanted it so bad that they played the game of the year. Fast forward to last year. All the experts said that OSU would steam roll ANYONE...and what happened, the Buckeyes went in with their thumbs up their a$$ and got rolled over by Florida. Desire plays the most important roll of all.

Ahh, the American dream pushed by the media for the last century. You can do anything you want if you try hard enough.

No, I disagree with you in football. Desire plays a role. But speed, talent, execution, and a good gameplan win the MNC. Plus I really can't believe that one team really 'wants' it that much more than the other.

Ah, and the American myth that one teams possesses these attributes and the other doesn't? Look at NFL first round draft choices in the last 15 years (hell, look at the whole history of first round draft choices). Ohio State is at the top of both lists.

Don't kid yourself, Ohio State has plenty of speed, talent, execution and game plan (coaching). Keep the blinders on and believe that one game last January is more meaningful than the draft history of Ohio State players.

Add the chip on the shoulder and it may give them an edge. But we'll see. The game has yet to be played between the sidelines.

    Here's to a great game.

Hey buck brothers...forget it, you will not get many straight answers on this board, I think they have a mind set similar to what we had last year, like this is going to be a cake walk for them! There is absolutely no doubt that osu is going to show up this year very hungry and we know how good and deep the bucks are everywhere. They think beanie is only a straight power runner...surprise. I hope we get back LW along with vernon for this game, that would be sweet !! Go BUCKS !! OH !!!!!!!!
