we're not vulnerable to a strong running game, we're vulnerable to spread offenses because in the sec we have to use a linebacker/safety as a nickel back to that we'll have someone in there strong enough to tackle a tebow or mcfadden. (talking about mccray) we haven't used a true cb in at nickel or dime all season long so i'd gameplan against lsu by staying in a spread formation or at least always have 3+ receivers on the field. find the person mccray or our linebackers are matched up on and throw to them every down. or get yourself a running qb that can take some punishment and again spread the field but just have the qb run every 3 or so tries. but with a healthy defensive set, even that probably won't work.
If OSU wants to win they need to throw a lot early and often...If this game is within 10 points at halftime, LSU is gonna win....So y'all better hope that the QB comes out with his A-game, cause is gonna be hard to run the football....Only Arky has run well against us, and your RB is not Arky's RB's.
I agree with this pretty much, but I want to add something: Once you get us in a certain personnel package; i.e. we have LB's on the field and 4 DB's, stay in your spread. Have the OC send in a couple of plays at a time, much like running your 2 minute drill. Keep our D on the field, in the personnel package that you feel gives you the best chance. Run your no huddle, even if it's a run with Wells off-tackle. Don't allow us to rotate fresh personnel, or change to a different package. Once our D has a good idea what you're going to run (assuming we're healthy) we're going to be able to stop you.
Say your prayers... Take your vitamins... And eat your Wheaties... Have a GREAT day! P.S. LSU is actually getting it crystal: ) back. :geaux:
RJF is a little rusty hopefully he can get back into shape for the big game however i thought the def coaches rotated the line a little better in the sec cg. special teams coverage has been iffy towards the end of the season and if i remember correctly y'all took one back against fla last year. of course i think that was with ginn. but still it's a weak link that looked a lot better against tenn. btw is chris wells the brother of jonathan wells?
RJF ??? Remind whose initials these are without looking again at your depth chart...? Jonathan Wells (starter in 2001), Chris Wells & Maurice Wells are from Louisanna, Akron, OH & Jacksonville, FL respectively and none are related. Isn't funny how when Ohio State recruits from down South like all the guys who have played for us from Florida (2002 -Chris Gamble, Micheal Jenkins, 2005 - Santonio Holmes), Georgia (Larry Grant, Cameron Heyward, Anderson Russell) or Louisanna (Nader Abdallah), etc, etc...they seem to be slower than if they played for lets say Ga, FL, or LSU ??? Funny how we are somehow made to believe these old wives tales, huh ?
Y'all only got them because they were too slow to play in the SEC. Sorry ATL, couldn't resist.
