I stopped posting last night after noticing a negative tone in all my posts. I woke up today and I STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY. I feel bad for our student athletes for being put in such horrible positions. I hate the lack of balls in making personnel decisions. If Jefferson is playing bad he rides the pine - it works that way across the entire NCAA. If Crowton performs badly year in year out - FIRE HIM!! The coaches job is not to be PC or make friends - it is to place our kids in the best position to be successful. The players and fans would understand the hard decisions that need to be made to be successful. Its how respect is earned. Miles has lost the respect of both the players and the fans now. Our kids are being set up to fail and it is absolutely heartbreaking. We cannot run Miles out of town fast enough. His recent history combined with the NCAA violations have made my hate for Miles grow exponentially. He is giving our program not only a black eye, but we are now a running joke similar to the Aggies. I will not accept that. My 6 tickets will be FOR SALE next season unless our AD actually has the kind of balls that Miles lacks. This embarrasment must end soon. Lou Holtz was ripping on us - COME THE FVCK ON!! Normally I don't advocate the firing of a coach midseason, but Miles has earned it. He has proven his incompetance at even the most basic of football for dummies. I'm questioning whether he is lazy, stupid, senile, has low testosterone or what. Miles is a horrible coach. The worst in the NCAA by a fair margin. The embarrasment has gone on long enough. Pull the plug on the hat and find us a real coach. I would rather finish the year with a coach that can tell time.
Les, with two good coordinators won us a Nat. Championship. I'd fire Crowton today, put Gonzales in charge of the O, see if he deserves the job by year end, or go find one then if he doesn't show he can do it. I don't think we should fire Les today. I agree we need some coaching changes.
We need to take the time to find a good coordinator in December and we can't really change the offense in the middle of the season. Gonzales has no OC experience. But Steve Ensminger has. Les should bring Crowton down to the field to better communicate with the quarterbacks and let Ensminger do the pressbox evaluations. He knows what to do.
We need some accountability. With the HC. With the OC. With the offensive position coaches. We need some with the players. Too many penalties, INT's, fumbles, etc. It's accountability time. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
The quarterbacks need guidance during the games - I agree 100%. They need help and are standing on the sideline cutting up and wasting valuable time. Time they could be learning.
