Ok Les Miles this is the real moment of truth

In order to be #1 you have to knock down #1. A win today could give this team enough confidence to go on a national championship run. The fans have been patient this year. It’s time to put up. Time to show the nation what this group of tigers is all about! We are fixing to see who the best national championship coach really is! :tigereye:

That's one reason. The other is that many know that Miles does win big games (4-0 bowl record, sec championship, BCS championship) and that although it is big tonight, it has small bearing on his overall coaching effort and the season is far from over. I don't see the outcome tonight being as dramatic as this poster sees it. That said, I hope we kick the gaytors a$$

 

If LSU loses, let the MIles bashing begin. That's the sense that I get from this post.

 

Florida is favored - rather heavily for a road game in Tiger Stadium - and is expected to win.

If we play well, we'll exceed the expectations of most media and non-LSU fans.

If we win, we get a lot - and I mean A LOT - of respect.

The only way we get hurt is if we play badly and get blown away. I don't see that happening.

In either of the first two possibilities, you certainly cannot fault CLM. If the third option comes to pass, you'll hear a lot of "fans" calling for CLM's head. But not all of them. A loss tonight does not make the team a failure. I think pretty much all of us figured this game as a loss at the beginning of the year. I think it's sort of amazing and also very exciting that we now feel like we can not only play with Florida, but we have a strong feeling that we could actually WIN this game.

As long as the team plays well and plays hard, I don't see how we can be disappointed with the outcome. A loss won't kill our season. We can always win the West and see the Gators again in Atlanta in December. How could that be bad? :wink:

Nice points... Anyone who thinks the season is a wash if we lose tonight are idiots. And anyone who starts yelling for Miles' head if we lose tonight are even bigger idiots. FSU would kill to be in our position tonight, along with prolly 90+ other football programs. There's obviously several factors tonight we need to show stark improvement in, but we've seen progress each week thus far, tonight shouldn't be any different. While a loss would suck, as long as we keep it very close, we can build a lot from it. This team can do it, and this team can win... imma looking forward to tonight, got the beer, the grill going and the partying about to begin.
