Thank you for making my point for me. Someone brought up Maurice Clarrett. He hasn't been with the Ohio State program in more than a couple of years. I was making an apples to apples comparison. If you'd read the thread (researched it thoroughly) you'd have known this.
...and to the Ohio State Buckeye supporters who posted in this thread...ugh. Les Miles seems a bit crazy to me...but not in a bad way. If I were a head football coach I would never, ever punt on 4th and 1, so if Les wants to go for it a few times, have at it. I don't know if I'd put him in the top 5 of college coaches -today, but he'd certainly be above the rest of the SEC coaches except maybe Meyer. Okie State (esp. Alamo Bowl= completely irrelevant (much less relevant than '06 title game- when the coaching staff forgot to come out of the locker room) Jim Tressel's YSU "issues" are well known among pretty much any serious Buckeye fan, so why did I see such idiotic claims, then backpedalling that wouldn't earn a start in Michigan's secondary? Perhaps you're really Michigan fans pretending to be tOSU fans in order to make the rest of us look bad? But sadly, no, you are the Ohio State fans we see on TV burning couches and insulting opposing players. The ones who come out of the woodwork every time the Bucks have a good season, then miraculously disappear in years like '04. I wish you would just start cheering for Penn State already. Also, I saw some 'when we beat the Buckeyes' type posts...let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Well, OJ won a Heisman with SC. Carter returned a couple kickoffs and ran a few routes before leaving the program.
Thanks, I figured I should get some posts in so that my LSU avatar (if it comes to that- which it hopefully won't) will have some sort or relevance.
