you'd think a big time journalist would have recognized the obvious sarcasm and intended put down of his soon to be defeated buckeyes but what do i know.....
Please show me the poor handling of Maurice Clarrett? He blew up all on his own. It's a shame but it's not the fault of the coach or the university. I believe one of your former players got arrested in the last day or so in Florida. Is that Les Miles fault? I don't think so and I'm sure you don't either. There are bad seeds everywhere. Identifying them and correcting the problem or separating from them is all you can do.
Clarett claims cash, cars among benefits By Tom Friend and Ryan Hockensmith http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1919059 ESPN The Magazine As far as the arrest, Perrilloux was arrested and later cleared of any wrongdoing.
The "Great Bear Bryant" ( I just threw up in my mouth a lil bit) once told a reporter about an assistant coach he just hired. If he ain't smarter than me, I don't need'em. With the coaches Miles has surrounded himself with, I could care less what others think he is or isn't capable of.
Re: Tressel and Top 5 That was NOT my quote ..."Tressel being the best hands down" one of your boys was being a bit sarcastic...and I replied. One of the top five yes... I did say that. That game last year was a perfect storm of issues that are too long to go into in this forum...lets say this...Tressel/ his coordinators were outcoached, but at the same time we had moments early in that game where we could have changed the course of events. Ultimately we were not psychologically ready for that game and Tressel much to his credit took all credit. By the way in 2002 we physically dominated that game and the referees made more calls to keep Miami in the game. And any call that you want to bring up was the right call by all accounts from both sides.
With very few exceptions, every coach since the beginning of time has started his career at a particular school with his predecessor's players. Of the ones that lasted 3 years, you could count on one hand the number that compiled a record equal to, or better than Miles'. Saban recruited this year's senior class but, aside from that, has had absolutely nothing to do with their development. This year's success is entirely due to the skill and effort of Miles and his staff. To suggest otherwise is ridiculous. If Hotlanta Buckeye is a journalist, he's a yellow one. I'm not surprised to see the arrogant attitude being demonstrated by Buckeye Nation. But, my advice is to be afraid. Be very afraid.
Claimed cash and cars. And nothing was proven. Given Clarrett's character do you really believe the guy? Come on. There has never been any evidence that has appeared to prove there were any wrongdoings by Ohio State. Wasn't talking about Ryan P. One of your former receivers was arrested in the last day or so in Florida and as I stated, I'm sure it isn't the fault of the coach or the program. Can you make the same distinction?
C'mon dude...Monus was a convicted felon, cooked the books at his company and is in prison. He was on the board and that was the only way Tressel knew of him. It was said many times they did not have a personal relationship. THE GUY IS A CROOK and in JAIL and as for the player... "Isaac said Tressel never knew about the payments, and the NCAA found no evidence that he did."
