I like the idea. You could only really expect personal actions by the coach to result in punishment though. For instance, E-mail evidence of Tressell knowing and not reporting violations to compliance and playing ineligible players would qualify. However, a booster paying off a player without proving the coach knew about it would be hard to penalize. Slippery Pete would be hard to catch. He is like a mob boss that only uses his underbosses as messengers and won't get on the phone for fear of wire taps.
I like the way you're thinking. However, there is no way the bleeding heart liberals will allow for the repayment of scholarships. Every time a guy like Pryor violates NCAA rules the same cry goes out from certain sports reporters. It goes like this. The universities and NCAA are using these poor kids to make millions and they get nothing. They should be paid. It doesn't seem to matter that they are getting an education possibly valued at over $100,000 in some cases or that by cheating they are screwing with their teammates future. These cheaters are the victims. I wonder if cheaters in minor sports programs that actually cost the university money are victims too?
lol. i can imagine rich rod updating his resume to take off the extra loss. as for tOSU, these are the concessions they have made so far to the NCAA:
This part makes me laugh, because they obviously already have an extensive monitoring and compliance programs... So why is tOSU vacating wins, and coachless? Hat's right, because they follow the rules. LMFAO...
Because they desperately want to avoid getting hit with LOIC by the NCAA, which they should easily get if everything in the SI expose is true.
