Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended I'm just saying that having watched LSU several times this year, their WR's drop a ton of balls. I think it's mostly LaFell and Byrd, but during the Arkansas game I remember thinking 'if I were Flynn I would want to punch those guys in the face'
Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended Wow, talk about a disproportionate response. It's pretty obvious she was talking about privacy issues, and how BP & others sat on the story. Others did not, and rumor-based reports surfaced. Eugene arrived on team-imposed probation for a drug incident prior to enrolling. Washington has never had any issues. Without any other released details of what Clifford did (and how/if Washington was wrapped up in it), that's a pretty large difference between the two.
Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that, that tiga's calling card. He's pretty even about distributing it fairly among everybody.
Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended I actually thought this was hilarious. Yes, our WR's do drop way too many passes. I didn't even realize Lafell was a WR in high school. He was on a slump at one point where he was dropping so many passes I just assumed that the guy played another position in high school and that we converted him to a WR at LSU. That Arkansas game was pretty bad. We only completed 46.8% of the 47 passes we attempted. The Kentucky game was pretty bad as well. We only completed 48.6% of the 37 passes we attempted. People come up with various reasons why we lost those two games (coaching decisions, penalties, whatever), but I've never seen anybody point out that a big reason was because our pass-and-catch game stunk it up. I didn't expect our passing game to be that great this year, but I didn't expect it to be as bad as it was. LSU attempted 415 passes this year, 57.1% resulted in completions. This is 74th in the NCAA (out of 119 teams). Of those 415 passes, 332 were throw by Matt Flynn, with 55.1% resulting in completions. This is 95th in the NCAA. In LSU's defense, you could say that we were without our best WR for part of the season. Doucet missed 5 of 13 games. And you could also say that we played a lot of good defenses this year. But still, I think we should have done better. As for Ohio State, they attempted 303 passes this year, 64.4% resulted in completions. This is 16th best in the NCAA. Of those 303 passes, 272 were throw by Todd Boeckman, with 64.3% resulting in completions. This is 20th best in the NCAA.
Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended  :hihi:  Yeah, on BuckeyePlanet, sluTiger said he thought it was Carrot Top's sister. Even some of the Buckeyes found that hilarious.
Re: 2 Ohio State Cornerbacks Suspended Do we drop some that could've/should've been caught.... yes but the other guy said 1 of 5. I was pointing out how not only was his statement way off, but also that we still catch a lot too- in fact Auburn may say TOO MANY, like ONE too many. Also, with the exception of Holliday, he was referring to our WR's and your numbers include TE's, RB's so not a fair comparison anyway. My comparison took TH out and compared top receivers to top receivers. How so, is there a bigger game than the National Championship that we could've gotten in? As far as your knowledge of Brandon, his Jr. year in HS he had 49 catches for 552 yards- including 15 TD’s; and 31 for 809 yards with 11 TD’s his Sr. year. His 48 receptions for over 600 yards is absolutely pathetic cause, I mean, as a soph. Doucet had 26 receptions for 389 yards and we know how good he turned out to be (Though his stats don't do him justice due to his injury) so yeah, LaFell really sucks. :nope: Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go to the John.
Well how about if I rip your head off and crap down your throat? :hihi: Seriously, I was referring to what he said.....you are referring to what she said- no spin pal. Here's where I raised question, looking at his post below, a person who's a "Stickler for rules" doesnt' accept and/or defend a position on ifs, ands & buts. Another thing is "The understanding" of what happened doesn't tell us a dam thing and smells.
Shoot, all these years "spinning" my gender down the drain. You're correct that in the absence of details regarding what happened in this instance, there's no way to state whether or not the consequences and actions match up or to either defend or condemn the decisions made. I simply haven't been given reason to suspect there would be an issue when I've felt past punishments for offenses that were made public were appropriate, and I don't expect the school to break privacy laws in order to determine whether or not their specific actions in this instance meet my approval. That's coming from someone who follows the program rather intensely; since you are probably not doing so on a daily basis, there would be no reason to expect you'd have the same level of confidence in the coaches' integrity. Or that you'd finish reading the article before condemning a coach for a "practice-only" suspension, for that matter. Or be open to the idea that maybe an OSU poster might be aware of another OSU poster's gender. But to each his (or her) own standards of conclusion-jumping, I suppose. Anyway, it should be a great game and it can't get here quickly enough. Navy vs. Utah just doesn't cut it.
You know, I have to say I read some things about JT today that make me believe what you're saying and I have to agree with you about his integrity with regard to suspensions and no matter what game it is. Based on what I read, I can understand where you're coming from. :thumb:
