Yes, the Associated Press is now reporting that after Ohio State released the statement stating that back-up DB Eugene Clifford would be suspended, Shelly Poe (spokeswoman for the OSU Athletic department) said:

"This is it. We're not expecting anything more than what you have right now."

I agree, he's been clutch. I still don't know how he made that catch at the end of the AU game.

well lets not jump to conclusions and crown Tressel the leader of the moral society. let's see the facts play out, if Washington violated team rules just like the backup player did but didn't get the same punishment, then he's every bit as slimy as Urban Meyer, Lovie Smith, etc. He might as well suspend his backup longsnapper while we're at it.

    Just an awkward wording...

The BuckeyePlanet thread makes it pretty clear what happened, but here's a quick summary. The story was "broken" by a poster on Scout (not staff) while those who have to exhibit a bit more responsibility for what they write were waiting for confirmation of full details. This seems to have led to the confusion as everyone rushed to get something out before the matter was settled. The understanding is that whatever happened wasn't violent or a legal issue, and privacy rules mean there won't be any official statement, so that may well be all we ever know about it. I'm kind of a stickler for upholding rules (probably too much so) and have been very comfortable with Coach Tressel's decisions.

Don't piss on our back and tell us it's raining. If you were a stickler for rules, you wouldn't be satifsfied without knowing: 1/ What rule(s) were broken 2/ Why the discrepancy in punishment. You're being "Comfortable" without know what happened doesn't fit the type of personality you claim.

I don't like stats cause they're deceiving but they're all we have sometimes. Some of LSU's against some very weak teams but others against 5 Top 25 teams.

OSU's against.....how many top 25 teams did OSU play again? Oh yeah, two, and lost to one of them.

Looking at the numbers, we must throw a helluva lot......course, we know that's not true.

    LSU’s top 4 WR’s:

    Doucet....50 receptions for 474 yds. & 4 TD’s.
    Lafell......48 receptions for 641 yds. & 3 TD’s.
    Byrd.......33 receptions for 593 yrds. & 7 TD’s.
    Toliver....10 receptions for 249 yds. & 3 TD’s.

    Totals: 141 receptions for 1,957 yards & 17 touchdowns.

    Ohio States top 4 WR’s:

    Robiskie...........50 receptions for 885 yds. & 10 TD’s.
    Hartline............46 receptions for 619 yds. & 5 TD’s.
    Small...............19 receptions for 253 yds. & 2 TD’s.
Sabzenbacher...12 receptions for 89 yards and 1 TD

    Totals: 127 catches for 1,846 yards & 18 touchdowns.

Hate to steal your Thunder, there, Dan, but you gettin the picture homey?

    You just got punked, bitch.

From tiga's impressive stats there, those receivers catch an astounding 65 percent of the passes thrown.
