Since it seems most likely that we will face them in the NC, what do you guys think about them?

I think Tressel will have them prepared and make sure they don't come out like they did last year. Most of these guys were on the team last year and they will give us all they can.

Beanie Wells probably isn't as good as McFadden, but he'll be a Heisman candidate next year most likely and as much trouble as we had with McFadden, it'll be tough stopping him. Their defensive stud is Laurinitis (sp?) who is probably the best LB we'll face all year (besides maybe Adibi/Hall from VTech)

I think if we play a solid game and stop all the useless penalties/turnovers, and we have Dorsey at near full strength, we can win this game. But I don't expect anything like Florida's domination last year.

LSU's run defense was really good today. Against a team that would be much more similiar to what we would face in OSU. That's good news.

Key to the game is rattling Todd Boechman like Illinois did in forcing him to throw a couple of picks.

Other key is whether Flynn is ready to play. We got by with Perrilloux, I would love to see us use both QBs to win the national championship.

With all the troubles with RP, he came up big and may be one of the reasons we win the national championship. A fitting tribute to the crazy season.

tOSU is not as good this year as they were last year. Plus they will be rusty again from the long layoff. Our speed will amaze them.

That's what I think about them.

We just need to heal up and play solid on both sides of the ball. We do that, our chances should be better than even. :LSU231:

Tressel is a very good game day coach.

Hopefully, with rest, our talent will be enough to where that won't be a factor.

Being an Ohio St. fan I can say the only way we will get any respect again is t beat LSU for the NT. Is that going to happen I have no idea I would like to say yes for sure but who knows. I think the game will be very physical and the turnover margin will most likely be what decides the game. Beanie Wells is not as fast as McFadden but I think he is more physical. As a poster above stated Boechman can be rattled so I feel thats our biggest weakness. So good luck LSU and hope we have a great game.

ps. We as CFB fans need to come together and get ourselves a playoff system.

Ohio St's defense plays very good, fundamental football, but they can be beaten by speed & athleticism. I like our offense's ability to have some big plays on them once we're healthy.

Their offense is good, but not great & we should be able to hold them to about 14 or 17 points.

Ohio St, from what I've seen, plays tough, physical and are well-disciplined on defense. Offensively, there a tad vanilla... play the field position battle. They will pound us w/ Beanie, and hope to hit us w/ play action pass. They don't turn the ball over much, unless we rattle their QB and make him make a few poor decisions.

I think if both teams are healthy, we're faster at the skill positions, and both our QB are more mobile than theirs.

They've got Beanie, and we've got Hester.

I think it would be a very good game.

For the record, here's the list you can match LSU's speed and athleticism against defensively. It should be an intense game decided by (1) which coaches have the better game plan and (2) breaks.

    DE Vernon Gholston, 6-4, 264, jr, 4.5 40
    DE Cameron Heyward, 6-6, 282, Fr, 5.1 40
    DT Todd Denlinger, 6-3, 286, So, 4.85 40
    DT Doug Worthington, 6-7, 281, So, 4.75 40
    OLB Larry Grant, 6-3, 226, Sr, 4.67 40
    OLB Marcus Freeman, 6-2, 236, Jr, 4.6 40
    MLB James Luarinatis, 6-3, 244, Jr, 4.7 40
    CB Malcolm Jenkins, 6-1, 206, Jr, 4.43 40
    CB Donald Washington, 6-1, 188, So, 4.5 40
    S Kirk Coleman, 5-11, 187, So, 4.41 40
    S Anderson Russell, 6-0, 205, So, 4.5 40

Their D is awesome. They've got 42 sacks (4th in the NCAA), while our offense is last in the SEC with most sacks allowed. That Laurinaitis guy is unreal at LB. Last year, he won that top defensive player in the nation award that they gave Dorsey this year. Their DE Vernon Gholston has 13 solo sacks 14.5 tackles for loss. Their CB Malcolm Jenkins is top 5 in the country.

RB Beanie Wells is awesome. Chevis will have his hands full with WR Robiskie .
